Racism Among Starbucks

Reported by Max Stansfield

On April 12 Donte Robinson and Rashon Nelson both 23-year-old African-American men were sitting in a Starbucks in Philadelphia waiting for a real-estate opportunity when the manager of the store called the police because they were not buying anything. They men where never confronted by the manger prior to the call. Instead of suing the company the two men wanted and received free tuition to Arizona State University as well as a public high school program for young entrepreneurs. The young men also received an apology from the Starbucks CEO. Do you think this is a reasonable or unreasonable excuse for calling the cops? Aniston Wheeler says “Today’s society is ridiculous and racist and people shouldn’t be so quick to judge each other.”
