After Graduation Plans

Reported By: Jaedyne Filkins  There are 52 days left until graduation. Graduation is just around the corner.. Woah didn’t we just start school though? I thought so too. This year has flown by so fast, and for the seniors, even faster. As graduation nears, seniors are figuring out what they plan to do after they graduate from CPP. Many students plan to attend college and some plan to start right off into their career choice. Some students may not know what they what to do yet, and that is okay. There are also some students who plan on joining, if not already , the military. These are all great choices, they are all very different. Every person has their way of going off into the world. When asked what she plans to do after graduation, senior, Jordyn Baker says,” After I graduate, I plan to attend Keuka college to major in Psychology and Biology for my future with a PhD in Psychology and Dermatology. I would also like a minor in American Sign Language. I would eventually like to start my own private practice where I can help everyone. I would also like to have a side study in herbal medicines and Chinese practices.”  Some students plan to take a year off to figure out what they would like to do, and there really is no harm there. They are finding themselves, which is a great thing. There are many students who are moving out of state to attend college and there are some who like to stay right here at Corning. Kelsey Drake, a senior says, “ My plan after I graduate is to attend CCC for early childhood development.” Kelsey would like to open her own daycare someday or become a teacher.
